You’ve disconnected QuickBooks.
Trade Secrets Bookkeeping Co. no longer has access to your QuickBooks company. That took effect immediately — nothing further is read from your books.
What happens to your data
- Our stored access token for your company is revoked and deleted.
- Financial records already prepared for you are retained under the schedule in our privacy policy — four years for standard accounting records.
- You can ask us to delete anything we are not legally required to keep. Email us and we will confirm in writing.
- Your QuickBooks file and everything in it remains yours, untouched. We never had the ability to change it.
If you’re an active client
Disconnecting stops us from doing your books. If that wasn’t what you meant to do, reconnecting takes about a minute — just let us know and we’ll send a fresh link.
If you did mean to end things: we’ll send a complete exit package within five business days — financial statements, reconciliations, general ledger, 1099s, payroll records, and a written summary for whoever takes over. You get that whether you leave happy or not.
One question, if you’re willing. What would have kept you? A one-line answer is genuinely useful — three clients saying the same thing means something is wrong with how this works, not with them.
Reconnecting later
Nothing stops you. Reconnecting grants the same read-only access it did before, and you can revoke it again from Settings → Apps in QuickBooks at any time.
